Christmas season

MMMMMmmmm sugar!

Let it snow!

Brushing off the Snow from the Snowman!

Emma loves snowman as much as her momma!
We had a great weekend with Hope and Hailey! I made sugar cookies and the girls decorated them...Emma licked all the sugar off the top of hers! We received over a foot of snow on Saturday so Uncle Andy went out and pushed the snow up in a hill and the girls went tubing while Emma slept. We made a few messes and laughed a lot...tis the season to enjoy family and friends! Happy HOlidays to all of our familys far and near! We love you all!

Woke up this morning to my 19 month old telling me "Mommy, I want a healthy lunch!" Who says these kinds of things! It was a great way to start my day, a long laugh and her repeating it over and over.

A lot has changed in the last couple of months. We visited Children's Hospital 2 months ago because the doctors were concerned with the circumference of Emma's head. Turns out she just has a large head. That was a sigh of relief for Andy and I. Talk about nerve racking.

Emma is talking in sentences and is always surprising us with something new.

Summer was a blast. We went to Kansas with the whole family, waterparks, took a train ride, enjoyed the fair and parade, went trick or treating, went to the pumpkin patch and corn maze, and shared many more firsts with our little one. We are truely blessed to have such great family and friends and hope everyone's holiday season (yes the holidays are near!) is spectacular!

Summer 2010

What a great summer... we started off our summer with camping with our great friends Mike and Nichole and their little man Cale over in Vantage. We took the horses and 4-wheelers and cruised the dunes. The little ones had a good time on their big adventure, and so did mom's and dad's. Then my whole family took a road trip to Kansas. All of us girls traveled together and stopped at Mount Rushmore (what a great place!) Then we headed on into Kansas to hang out with the family for the next week at the lake. It was great to see everyone and to introduce Ms. Emma to the rest of the crew. Emma was a champ at the road trip. I truly believe she enjoyed having so many great people so close to her...including her cousins Hope and Hailey.

The rest of the summer we have been playing in the pool (Emma LOVES the water, as long as it is on her terms) and spending lots of time with good family and friends. BB Q's, Monday night dinners with the Moore's and just a lot of good memories made.

Emma is talking like crazy, she has started putting sentences together like I want to go with Daddy! I want some more please! etc....

We are truly blessed to have such wonderful friends, family and a Beautiful little girl that makes us smile and laugh every day.

Hope every one's summer is fun and fabulous!

Through the year!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY EMMA!!!

Today is the one year mark of Emma filling our lives with so much love and joy. I look back and can't think of one bad thing that happened to us in the last year. Crazy, I know that we had colds and fevers and up all nights...but every last bit of that bad stuff is completely fogged over by the giggles and all the first we have witnessed. It was a little sad to admit that one year has come and gone, but on the other hand one year of nothing but fun and loving memories have been created and permanently imprinted in my soul.

We have a birthday party planned for this saturday with family and friends and then we are off to the woodland park zoo on sunday. I can't wait to see her little face when she sees the monkeys and zebras. Her favorite animal right now is her kitty cat Charlie but she might fall in love with a new kitty cat (a very large and dangerous Kitty Cat) this weekend at the zoo...who knows...it is all going to be so new and exciting and I just can't wait!

Love you Ms. M's you are spectacular!

Step by Step

We are trying our hand at the walking thing...what a hoot! So Emma took five steps by herself on sunday night. Ever since then we have been taking a couple here and there. She thinks it is funny to take a couple of steps and then dive forward (no fear on her part, I on the other hand am working on more gray hair!) into your arms that are suppose to know when she is planning this graceful move. Changing too fast... now my half way job of child proofing everthing is not going to fly.... guess we will be asking Grandma to babysit so I can get my act together!

We are planning Emma's First Birthday Party! It has a zoo animal theme. Very cute. So we are planning cake and ice cream at our house on saturday and then we are taking Ms. M's to the Woodland Park Zoo on that sunday. I can hardly wait. She already Barks like a dog and makes monkey noises (thanks dad!). Needless to say she absolutely loves animals and I can hardly wait to see her little face and all the wonderful expressions when she sees the zebras and monkeys and so on and so on.... Maybe I needed the trip to the zoo!

I'm grateful that the weather has made a turn for the better and we have been outside everynight after work for the last two weeks riding bikes and taking walk/jogs. Emma loves this and we get out of the house and get some exercise!

Hope all is well with everyone...especially my family in other states that we don't get to see much.... We will be heading to Kansas in June and I can hardly wait to catch up with y'all! Love ya!

Long time....

So christmas has come and gone...we have started a new year...And my little girl is going to be one years old in a little over a month! Where does time go? Emma has almost six teeth, she is crawling and climbing on everything. She gets brave every now and again and will stand on her own. She says all kinds of words in Emmanies (That is what I call her language!) and she captures our hearts with every MA MA and DA DA. These days it seems there is a lot more DA DA then MA MA, but I'm learning to cope with that :) I have finally remembered my password to this blog so that I can update it and visit other sites we enjoy keeping up with....so you will be hearing from me more often. We are having the cousins over tonight for a sleepover and that will be a hoot for sure....never a dull moment!
